Washington Middle School families and alumni - we are facing a time of change in Seattle Public Schools. From the WMS-Meany split to the opening of Lincoln in 2018 to the current state cap on local levy funding for education, there is a lot of uncertainty and potential for program cutbacks across the district, including at Washington Middle School. Friends of Washington Music urges parents to speak up and tell our school administration and Seattle Public Schools what music means to our students. Please send a message of support and detail how music at WMS has impacted your student and your family! Write to:

Winter concerts are here! The beginning and intermediate ensembles as well as Jr. Jazz and Songsters (Fiddlers) played December 18, 2018 in the WMS gym. As usual, the program was strong and showcased the incredible work of our talented students and their dedicated teachers. Thanks to Mr. Sessink, Ms. Greenbaum and Mr. Saunders for a great evening. Two highlights below - performances by Debut Choir and Beginning Percussion. (Senior ensembles play December 19, 2018)
