Jazz Up Jackson Street Tickets on Sale Now!

Please join us on Thursday, October 10th at 7pm at Town Hall for an unforgettable evening. Garfield High School and Washington Middle School are teaming up with the annual Earshot Jazz Festival to put on a one-night jazz blowout concert.

Tickets starting at $5 are now available.

Jazz Up Jackson Street will showcase performances by guest artists, Washington and Garfield alumni, and current students. Proceeds from the event will be used to continue the work of building equity and creating sustainable and more diverse demographic representation across all of our music programs, particularly in advanced ensembles.

We have a goal of raising $75,000, the proceeds of which will benefit any student involved in music, not just jazz band students. Here are some priorities for how the funds will be used:

  • Targeted instrument coaching for beginner level musicians

  • Hiring coaches and instructors that represent the demographics of our community

  • Outreach and funding support for feeder elementary schools

  • Developing a more culturally responsive music curriculum

  • Community engagement and outreach events

We hope to see you there!
